The Crafts & Drafts Festival (formerly the fall Jonquil Festival) features cold beer, football on the big screens, and 150 arts & crafts booths.  In addition, there are 12 food booths and plenty of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Date and Time:
The festival hours of operation are 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday, and noon to 5 pm on Sunday.

The Village Green is located just off I-75 to Exit 260 (Windy Hill Rd.) head west approximately 3 miles to Atlanta Rd., turn left onto Atlanta Rd. and the festival will be one mile on the right.

Pink Ribbon 5k Fun Run

The City of Powder Springs is proud to be sponsoring the Pink Ribbon 5k Run in downtown Powder Springs. The run will begin at 9 am at City Hall and will continue on the City’s scenic Lucille trail, then back to City Hall. The proceeds from the run will go to the Powder Springs breast cancer support group Breast Friends Forever. Participants who register in advance will receive a Pink Ribbon Run t-shirt and event swag bag. All levels of fitness are encouraged to attend.

Admission:
Registration is $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 4-12 years old. Children 1-3 years old are free. A family participation package is available for $30.

Taste of Smyrna

The annual Taste of Smyrna takes place on the beautiful Village Green in downtown Smyrna.  The event is a “Festival of Delectable” featuring samples from over 30 of your favorite Smyrna area restaurants.  Tastes range in price from $1 to $4 per item.

Restaurants will be competing in the following five contests:

  • Best Entrée
  • Best Dessert
  • Best Food Presentation
  • Best Decorated Tent
  • Best Appetizer

The event features over 30 restaurants – including in years past Tin Drum Asian Kitchen, Taco Mac, Stockyard Burgers & Bones, Atkins Park, Williamson Bros. BBQ, Bruster’s Ice Cream, Taste Jamaica, Chinese Southern Belle, Bob’s Lemonade, Wade’s Fine Eatery, Chicken Salad Chick, Jo & Glo’s Hawaiian Shaved Ice, Marlow’s Tavern, Golden Krust, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Kenny’s Great Pies, Mezza Luna Pasta & Seafood, Frozen Cow Creamery, Opa Greek Village, Maggiano’s, and more.

The event also features live music adjacent to the Veteran’s Memorial.  For the adults, there is a beer and wine garden.  In addition, there will be live music, kids activities, and entertainment throughout the day.

Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays

Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays takes place at Taylor-Brawner Park each Tuesday from May through September. Sponsored by the City of Smyrna, the event features an assortment of fabulous food trucks gathered in the lower parking spaces adjacent to the playground and mini amphitheater at Taylor-Brawner Park.

The Smyrna Jonquil Festival takes place each spring and features over 150 arts & crafts booths, 12 food booths, an entertainment stage, and a variety of children’s activities.  Bring the family and shop, play, eat, drink and just have a great day together.

Artisans from all over the southeast feature their own hand-made crafts, paintings, clothing, furniture, jewelry and much more.  The festival foods include: cotton candy, candy apples, corn dogs, hand-dipped ice cream, snow cones, polish sausage, chicken sandwiches, and BBQ.  The huge interactive children’s area includes big and small inflatable activities, sand art, and more.  So whether it’s your child or the child in you, there are plenty of food and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
